I am thinking we're due for an expansion on the Micras map. This time around I'd like us all to be more involved. Here is where I want to expand to, the green and black dotted line is our current border. I wish to see some submissions from you as to how you think the new map should look. there are certain things I'd like to see changed, such as county borders. Some things I'd like to see the same, such as the locations of the cities. How should the county borders be re-drawn? With this much space I would like to see the Barony of Nerianti's presence. The city names that are currently in the new area are 'ruins' of an older country that once maintained that land. The city names were left and can be used or deleted at your desire. Anyway, looking forward to see what you all think Uantir's new look should be!

This actually looks pretty cool, thought I'm having trouble reading the map - the colours make the words blur for my eyes.
I'm all for the Nerianti Barony appearing on the map - That's where the Library and the Infirmary can exist, I just to think of names for the towns.

Unfortunately the colours need to be as such for the MCS map =]
Erm.. I think, if we were to take up yoru suggestion, ari, we'd need more cities. And I'm not so keen on being boarder-buddies with Ocia.. but theres not much room to expand where we are.

I didn't know the colours were the standard - It got painful quick.
how big is our patch of land?
Because 90% of what goes on in the State I live in happens in the city I live in - the area is about 130 x 60km.

The expansion doesn't increase Ocian borders, we are expanding down and creating a border with the country in White. More cities would be good, I like that idea.

Hmm, it might be a good idea to look at the map containing the natural resources when determining the county borders. Each county should have a decent share of resources if possible. Just a thought.
I personally would like to define some other baronies, etc, even if we don't have nobility administering them at the moment. That way the map is more established. What percentage of a county does a barony take up? Will the whole county consist of smaller baronies, or is there some land not defined as a barony? etc. Same goes for counties and the nation as a whole. Does that make sense, or is my crazy need to organize becoming apparent? ;D

Another great idea Your Excellency! As I see it Bronies are like city lines and are contained within a county. The county would only retain a small bit of land to house its capitol and other buildings...in the way DC isn't actually a state or part of any state, it's just DC. The reason the Counties take up so much space currently was because we had such undefined baronies.
Also, there is no reason that you as a Countess cannot run a few small Baronies within your County by yourself, and there's no reason Mira couldn't manage multiple Baronies within Wolfshire if she were interested. Baronies could have cultural themes relating to the resource map and terrain. I will try to put together layered maps of both the MITO (resources) and physical maps for you so that we can get a better picture of all that.
Don't worry, I'm a sorter myself as well.

If I'm needed to manage multiple baronies, then I'll take it on. How many more areas/towns will need names?

I'm also game for managing some Baronies if needed. ;D

Keep in mind that this will be 'managed' in the creative sense of the word. We're a long way away from having people in all these baronies. So here's what we could do:
Come up with a couple baronies each, that way Nessa will have 'three' baronies and Mira will have 'two' plus the county.
Minimum we'll need a name and a capitol city and a relative size, is it a large or small barony. The rest is up to you. if you want to write a lot of cultural description then I'll post it on our MicroWiki page. Then any new citizens can have a sub culture to choose from when they join! You can do as much as you want with it, having regional awards and honors, customs, colors etc. As long as any flag has the Flag of Uantir in the Camden (upper left corner) and the culture isn't completely contrary to the foundational principles of Uantir (the short list of core laws we have) I'm happy to see Uantir as multicultural.
If you get me the name, capitol and size of your new baronies, Nessa I'll need a relative size of Nerianti, though by default I'm considering it the biggest because it was first, I can get started on the artwork and see what we think.

Barony - Aranim Capitol City - Tuoma Size - small (how much space do we have exactly?) Subculture - something arts based, unless we already have that? I'll expand on that later. Can we pick or create a regional plant and animal also? What is our eco system like? What's the environment like?

This is the physical map of Uantir, including the prospective expansion area. The dotted lines are 'provincial' borders. Upon studying the map for a time Auldarant has far too much land for its activity, so that border will change. The solid lines are territorial boundaries. We've got a neat mountain range running straight through Uantir that I might start using to guide our provincial borders, because that would be cool. Attachments:

This is the resource map with Uantir's borders and current cities displayed on it. The symbol underneath Celenia is silk. The acorn symbol represents general farming. The ingot dead center is iron. The ingot at the bottom that we have half of is copper. The blue lightening bolt symbol is hyrdo-power (which we do have access to in the upper left corner of Auldarant, I'll get that map up soon.) The sheep is wool, which we have access to on our north border as well. The fish is fishing, which we have access to at the bay. Attachments:
