Aristocrats are awarded title based on their influence. The more involved and committed an Aristocrat, the grander a title they are allowed to use. Titles are not mandatory. No one has to use the highest title they are awarded or a title at all. It is not rank and those with higher title are not in charge of those with lesser title. It’s simply an award for service. Titles are organized in tiers. Each tier has a non-exclusive list of titles to choose from. An Aristocrat may choose a title not on the list as long as it is in lie with the others of the same tier. No tier one Aristocrat should be called a Raja. Each title has with it the common nomenclature for their land. These are likewise non-exclusive. A knight may have a manor instead of a keep if so desired.

Tier One Titles: Thane / Thaness, Knight / Dame, Lord / Lady, Chieftan / Chieftaness

Tier Two Titles: Baron / Baroness, Regent / Regentess, Conn / Conness

Tier Three Titles: Count / Countess, Tiarna / Bantiarna

Tier Four Titles: Prince / Princess, Ri / Rigan

Tier Five Title: King / Queen
