Hey Uantirians, I was doing some studying for my Russian exam and grew curious as to what languages - besides, assumedly, English - we all here speak. I myself am reasonably proficient at Russian, a language I've grown to enjoy very much, and know the barest few phrases in French, and am hopelessly deficient at any other languages - it's simply not my strong suit. But, I know there are some folks who can just pick up languages instantly, it's quite impressive. So, what of the rest of us?

The fact that I have been incapable of learning languages is one of my greatest shortfalls that I hate with a passion. I know a few phrases of Gaelic and spent time in Italy to the point where I could hold a conversation, but lost it all as it's been unused. Living in California it's hard not to acquire a handful of Spanish.

I had some Spanish during my elementary years, but I don't really recall any of it. I also took two semesters of Japanese my freshman year of college, but have lost most of that, as well. If I don't use knowledge, I tend to forget it. I've been interested in learning Latin on and off, and I would like to become proficient in Japanese one of these days.

I learnt Italian at school, studied Tolkien Elvish's for ****s and giggles, and am concentrating on Finnish for my trip to Finland.

I speak English as my first language, but I am also relatively fluent in Hebrew and currently learning Farsi.
