Title: Women Who Run With The Wolves. Author: Clarissa Pinkola Estes. Year Published: 1992 (latest edition 2008) Publisher: Rider an imprint of Ebury Publishing - A Random House group company
Plot Summary: This book blends old fairy tales and stories with psychology - You begin with the discovery of the Wild Woman - the Wolf, then move on to the initiation - stalking the intruder that leaves you open to being prey, which brings you to your intuition, and it's revival. The next part of the book follows with relationships, and how to search them out, finding your place of belonging, your pack, and remembering to come back to yourself. Then to living - Nourishing your creativity, retriving a sacred sexuality, marking out your boundaries. There are several closing chapters after the above.
Why I recommend the book: I haven't even finished it yet, but it's blowing me away. It gives you a number of insights into self, has some thought provoking stories in it, and references to how the stories come to be in our real lives. Read it!!!!
