Hello my friends.
There are new MMO's popping up on the market all the time, most trying to claim the mantle that WOW holds, and some that stand a good chance of doing so. I have recently been playing two in particular, Champions Online, and Aion: Tower of Eternity.
Champions Online:
This is a game from the developers of City of Heroes/Villains, and is an online adaption of the Pen and Paper game Champions. As you can propably guess, you play a superhero in the in-game world in a fictional city called Millenium City. It was built on Detroits ashes after it was attacked by a supervillan and destroyed. The game gives you one of the most intuitive character creation systems I have ever seen, allowing you to make virtually any superhero you can think of. It also gives you travel powers at level 5 that allow you to amoung other things, fly, teleport, Ice-slide, etc. The ame also allows you o build your powers how you want to build them, not restricting you to a set path (though its advised you stick to one if you want to build the trees to stronger powers)
Aion: Tower of Eternity:
A beautifully rendered game set in a stunning world of two halves. You choose to play as either the sun blessed Elyos, or the darkness cursed Asmodeon. Now keep in mind, niether race is evil, they used to live and work together, but the split in the world, and the loss of the Tower of Eternity caused a rift that ment the Eylos lived in the permantly sun soaked lands of the northern half of the world, while the Asmodeon live in constant darkness, struggling to survive, and making do with what they have. Both are interesting races to play, with the Asmodai being slightly my favourite You get wings are lvl 10 that allow you to fly around, which is something I like a lot. Over all a great game that has beaten WoW on number of pre-orders
If your interested in playing either, and your on the british servers, let me know, and I'll play with you But wither game you choose to play, your surely not to be disappointed!
