- I feel like i'm living in one at the moment.
I'm pretty certain that i'm the only Uantirian who lives in Australia, and I know that i'm the only one in Adelaide.
I don't know what you all are like with the weather in the area that you live in, but I follow my local weather religiously.
In March this year, Adelaide won (and extended) the global title of "Place with X number of days over 34C." I think it was 12 or 15 days. And i thought "Okay, so summer is this late this year, so we shouldn't be seeing any heat until the end of December. Wrong! It's early November and we're in day four of a heat wave that no one saw coming. We've been bouncing between 34C and 39C and it's meant to continue until sunday.
What's the weather like where you live?

We're on the top side of the world here in California, so it's winter. But winter doesn't mean much here. It's not that cold, but it's usually so hot here most people feel cold. We've got overcast and chill, lows in the 50-60s (10C-15C) with afternoons not getting much more than the low 70s (21ishC)

It's been in the low 50's (F) here in MI lately. (BRRRR) Last week we had a nice warm up in the 60's, but it's all down hill from here. ='( I love my state, despite the economy lately, but I don't like to be cold. Snow is pretty, but that's where its benefits end for me. =P
Heh, I was kinda laughing at one of my friends from CA when she asked for a scarf for Christmas. XD We'll see if I knit her that scarf or not. =P

Most of the denizens of California feel li8ke dressing up like eskimos if it drops below 60. I love it when it's in the 30s-50s. That's my favorite temperature. I've spent time in the mountains on holidays where it is just at the freezing zone and it makes me feel great. I feel like I can take full breaths in chilly air. Hot air is too thin.

Our winters are normally 50F-70F's. I freaking love winter. the colder it is the better.
Out side it's been 98F-104F, and inside it's been getting up to 107F
If i had the money, i'd fly to the nearest place thats cold.

It can get like that here inland, and that's normal. Palm desert is consistently triple digits in the summer. I agree with you though, cold is good. Fashion is more interesting when it's cold.

But we aren't inland! we live on the ocean!!! And *faints* remind me to visit in winter, never summer. Fashion is only more interesting when it's cold because people put on layers. i can't wear my pashmina's, robes, scarfs or pants in this heat. And i love all those things. The whole point to summer is to wear as little as you can legally get away with.

That last point is exactly what makes it uninteresting. Okay, so you can see skin and skimp...so what? On a hot summer day down at the beach here in California I know exactly how sixty girls look completely naked because they are wearing nearly that. Where's the fun in that? With winter clothes you get the mystery, the imagination. That may sound...pervy...but so is going to the beach in a California summer just to watch the bikini's walk by.

OMG, LOL. I'm sorry but that's hilarious. I've never seen summer from that point of view before.

*Laughs* Yes, the internet is great - we all wouldn't be here otherwise And it's hit an all time low for overnight temps in the middle of a heat wave - 15.6C at about 4am it's meant to get to 34C today.

It's getting below freezing at night? Your weather is a bit strange... XD I think I'd like both of your winters better, though I'll keep my summer high temps. =P

Everyone tells me I'm loony because I have never lived in snow, but I hope I move somewhere with snow in the next year. I'm sick of such a moderate, uninteresting, unchanging climate. You get sick of sun as much as you get sick of rain.

Amen to that!!! I lived in Mount Gambier for 4 months. The thing with Mt G is that it rains 6 out of 7 days. I got very sick of the rain after that. Our weather has been insane here these last few days. Saturday it started out 31C (about 90F) and sunny. three hours later, it was very grey and dark, pouring with rain and hail, and incredibly windy. The temp had dropped to 16C (about 65F). And it's been continuing like that. It's sunny and windy now, but it was pouring half an hour ago. I'm just glad for the cold

Wow, that's quite the weather pattern. It's been cool, but not cold. The rain happened lightly for about an hour on and off one evening, but beyond that: sun.
