Uantiri people don’t look to others to resolve issues that they can take care of themselves including the defense of their own life and property. Statistically 80% of the population is under arms at any one time. Private ownership and carrying of firearms is endorsed by the Crown and regular marksmanship competitions are hosted by the government. Police are understood to be a reactive and investigative force; the citizen is responsible for their own immediate protection. As a nation, Uantir has decided not to be victims during violence; waiting for help to arrive. Criminals cannot afford to be brazen in our borders. Uantiri are guardians, not damsels in distress. The same principle applies to the law abiding citizen as well. ‘Wild West’ shootouts rarely break out in the streets. Truth holds true, and truth is, no one likes to be shot at. To the contrary, instead of bar brawls devolving into shoot outs, people are less eager to start a bar fight at all, lest bullets start to fly. An armed society is a polite society. When emigrating to or touring Uantir do not be alarmed at the openly and covertly armed citizens; you’re safer because of it.
