This is frequently phrased as ‘What’s the effing point?’ Like most things in life meant for entertainment, it is hard to pin down the why. What’s the point of TV? An episode of CSI will never help further a forensics career. The same holds true for video games, sport and fiction. Some sports promote exercise and team work, but pool doesn’t. Some video games increase coordination, most don’t. Stripped to its core, any hobby or recreation is done out of enjoyment. So what makes Uantir worth playing despite the effort required? The rewards. Being part of Uantir can be as satisfying as a good novel mixed with a therapy session. Here is the opportunity to experiment with how you think things should be the freedom to be part of the elite that shapes nations. What would you do if you were lord of a Manor, Commander of an Army? How would you govern? What would your people be like? Think of every time the government did something you disagreed with. Now imagine being not one vote of millions, but a voice in a dozen, that your actions change a nation. It’s time away from the ordinary, spent in the extraordinary.
