Standard Treaty:
The standard treaty that the Kingdom of Uantir offers is not quite what one may see in the average treaty, but if you’ve gotten this far you’ve gotten used to Uantir being unique in many aspects of its governance. The standard treaty does not use a constitution style list of articles and instead uses subjet headers. It also strives to be as plain speech as possible, allowing the average citizen to be able to read and understand the document without translating legalese. Additions, omissions or alterations can always be discussed. That’s what diplomacy’s all about right?
The Government of the Kingdom of Uantir and The Government of [COUNTRY], hereby sign a Treaty of Friendship and Diplomatic Relations. It stands to strengthen the bond of peace which happily prevails between them. By setting frameworks for interaction and arrangements for diplomacy they may promote friendly intercourse between their respective territories. This treaty will limit grievances that may otherwise spoil the relationship between them. This treaty does not expire and is considered to remain in full force from the date it is signed until renounced by either state.

Regarding Citizens:
Citizens of each negotiating state shall;
• Be permitted to enter and travel freely in each other’s publically accessible territories.
• Be permitted to exercise their freedom to worship.
• Be permitted to carry on any activity that is not forbidden by local law.
• Receive equal treatment as any native citizen under law in any court proceedings.
• Understand that in foreign territory they will be held accountable for their actions under the laws of the territories they are in, not by the laws of their home nation.
• Understand that deportation may be delayed pending punishment by the territory they are in and that their home nation has no authority to extradite them until their sentence has been carried out.
• Understand that this treaty does not cover immigration, only non-residency related stays in each other’s territory.
• Understand that though freedom of religion is respected, only citizens have the right to construct religious sites and buildings of worship.
• Understand that though they will be treated equally in court the citizens of the territory they are in retain priorities and privileges that they may not have access to.
• Be exempt from conscription by the state of which they are not a citizen. Only fully naturalized citizens may be drafted into compulsory military service. Denizens, permanent residents, pending citizenships or individuals of any other status besides full citizen are immune. This does not prevent voluntary service or consensual service for citizenship arrangements.
Regarding War
Neither nation is required to;
• Engage in war on behalf of the other.
• Deliver military aid or support.
• Suffer the passage of combatants through their territory.
• Quarter troops and military equipment
• Supply any aid or support that would impair their ability to care for their own citizens. Nothing takes priority over a nation’s primary charge: their own citizens.
Both nations are expected to;
• Accept refugees of the other.
• Accept the wounded of the other.
• Allow non-combat military vehicles to cross freely through territory and over borders in transport of the above.
• As stated above, nothing takes priority over either nation’s efforts to protect their citizens.
Regarding Commerce and Business
Businesses and Corporations (in comparison to individuals) shall;
• Freely come and go with their vessels, trains, trucks and cargoes to all places, depots, roads, ports and waters of every kind within the territorial limits of the other which are open to public use and navigation.
• Be held accountable under all shipping and navigational laws, prohibitions and restrictions according to the country they are in, not those of their home nation.
• Understand that all goods may be confiscated in the event of arrest for violation of any shipping or navigational laws, prohibitions or restrictions.
• Forfeit without compensation all goods in the event of being found guilty of violating any shipping or navigational laws, prohibitions or restriction.
• Understand that though they will be treated equally in court, businesses and corporations of the territory they are in retain priorities and privileges that they may not have access to.
• Agree to pay all applicable tariffs before conducting their business in each other’s territory.
Regarding Ambassadors and Embassies
Each nation is expected to;
• Receive and send to and from each other ambassadors.
• Erect and maintain embassies to house each other’s ambassadors at their own expense.
• Respect embassies as the other state’s sovereign territory and is at all time inviolable. Under no circumstances will they be subjected to invasion by the host nation. The authorities cannot, under any pretext, make any examination or seizure of papers or other property deposited within an embassy. No embassy officials shall be required to produce official archives in court or testify as to their contents.
Ambassadors shall;
• Receive rights, privileges, exemptions and immunities in line with Vienne Convention on Diplomatic Relations only when performing in an official capacity. These immunities do not apply when the ambassador is performing personal, business, trade or recreational activities.
• Understand that their nation may revoke an ambassador’s right to immunity at any time.
• Not be required to testify in either criminal or civil cases regarding acts performed in an official capacity.
• Be allowed to fly the arms or emblem of their state as part of their entourage and on their ships and vehicles.
Embassies shall;
• Be offered free of charge by the host nation.
• Be allowed to fly the arms or emblem of their state on their embassies (physical or on the forum.)
• Be places of asylum.
• Not be used to house an occupational force of military personnel. Doing so voids its classification as an embassy, its status as sovereign territory and any protections granted above.
Regarding Territory
Territory includes;
• Land and maps invented by either nation.
• Territory claimed by either nation through the Micronational Cartography Society (MCS.)
• Territory claimed by either nation through organizations similar to the MCS.
• Physical holdings claimed or held sovereign by either nation.
Regarding the Sovereignty
• Both nations retain complete sovereignty under this treaty and neither is subjected to the other.
• Violating any provision of the treaty renders the entire document null and void removing any protections, rights or privileges therein.
• Both nations may annul the treaty with written notification. Upon the repealing of the treaty both nations have two months to vacate their embassies.
• In the event that either nation collapses, is abandoned or ceases to have active governance the other assumes sovereignty of the abandoned nation.
