To His Most Excellent Majesty The King of Uantir: Your Majesty, On behalf of The Kingdom of New Victoria, I would like to offer my warmest greetings and best wishes for your Majesty and your Majesty's Kingdom. My name is Prince George, and I am the New Victorian Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as the brother of His Majesty King Charles I. On behalf of my Kingdom and my King, I am wondering if your Most Gracious Majesty would be willing to enter into diplomatic relations with New Victoria? If so, The King suggests that both your Majesty and his Majesty sign a treaty of mutual recognition and perpetual friendship. I thank your Majesty for your Majesty's time. -Prince George Minister of Foreign Affairs TheKingdom of New Victoria

Good day Your Highness,
Without sounding too cocky, ever since I approved your claim I was sort of waiting for you to drop on by.
As you can see we're not exceptionally active at the moment, and by we I mean me. I have had quite a bit of stuff to think about, but without anyone to read it I've lacked the motivation to write them down. Regardless, Her Majesty and I are still around and more than happy to open up communication with anyone who is interested.
I do caution you that Uantir takes its treaties as seriously as a heart attack. Through treaty we make each other an extension of each other, officially endorsing the practices of that nation's government and publicly endorsing them. We represent each other, and that's not the kind of relationship to enter in lightly.
So, we wont jump straight to treaties, no. But I would like to start to build a rapport. I'll drop by your forum, see what's been going on since you dropped your claim which is, honestly, the last time I've been around there. I suggest you do the same and you can use this thread as a place to bring up any concerns, questions, compliments, or whatever. Feel free to join in any of the discussions or topics on our boards, and in the next few days I'll be making a post in New Victoria.
His Majesty, Rook

Your Highness,
I look forward to furthering our acquaintance, and visiting New Victoria. I look forward to your future visits and hope that we find that a treaty is indeed in both of our nation' best interest.

Your Most Gracious Majesties,
On behalf of My King and my country, I am to thank your Majesties very much for this warm welcome that your Majesties have given us.
As your Majesties will no doubt understand, His Majesty King Charles and the entire kingdom have been terribly busy since New Victoria was accepted onto Micras. Thus, although I did briefly browse this website about a month ago, I did not have time to officially visit and petition your Majesties until this week.
King Charles and His New Victorian Government take all treaties they make seriously as well. Your Majesties must forgive our impetuosity in this matter, however I have noticed that most nations seem to favor creating treaties immediately. However, since your Majesties would desire a slower process, which The King also favors, His Majesty invites your Majesties to visit New Victoria, and to start a thread in our Ministry Foreign Affairs section. There either His Majesty or I shall answer question your Matchless Graces might have.
And of course, as your Incomparable Highnesses have suggested, both the King and I shall visit the various area of the Kingdom of Uantir, and I shall post and question, concerns, or compliments in this thread.
Yours Faithfully, Prince George Minister of Foreign Affairs

Prince George,
Uantir cannot sign a treaty with New Victoria. As I said before, a treaty is a public admission of approval for all of New Victoria's practices. The concept of treating your populace as subjects and not citizens as well as any lack of separation between your religion and your governance makes such an intimate bond between our governments impossible.
Please don't take this as a critique of New Victoria, we can still be friends, trade partners, and associate nations - but not treatied.

Yes, religious freedom is something we feel strongly on. Although the populace of New Victoria may be able to practice as they choose, having any state-endorsed religion gives that religion a foothold in the government that is sure to be oppressive to the religious minority. This is something that has been an item of contention with other nations in the past, as well. It's something that I, personally, am not willing to bend on.
Perhaps as both of our nations evolve, the situation will change, and in the future we will have the opportunity for a treatied alliance. As it is, I am pleased to further explore a friendly relationship with New Victoria.
