There are no official, mandated ranks or insignia for units to follow. It is left up to the Aristocrat’s discretion what the hierarchy of their Guard shall be. However, as with many aspects of the Uantiri Army, the Royal Guard sets an example that is frequently followed. NATO standard rank scale is followed with one primary exception: there are not separate scales for enlisted vs. officers. A Rank Code is used similar to the ones adopted by most NATO forces with a notable exception of there being far less of a divide between officers and enlisted and there are far fewer ranks. Name and insignia do not have to be similar to the framework set by the Royal Guard, but following the grade is highly encouraged to make cross unit identification easier. There are no direct commissions in the Royal Guard (though the practice is allowed in other Guards if they so choose.)
G-1 Trainee: No insignia G-2 Soldier: Some units issue insignia, others do not. They are universally referred to as Mr. [Last name.] G-3 First Class: Generally a rank of merit G-4 Kannaireh: Generally in charge of a Team G-5 Sairshint: Generally in charge of a Patrol G-6 Lieutenant: Generally in charge of a Group G-7 Commander: Generally in charge of a Company G-8 Brigadier: Generally in charge of a Brigade G-9 General: Generally in charge of a Battalion G-10 Captain: Generally in charge of a Regiment
