Well, it's December and everyone is having thier holidays. Whatever it is you celebrate may you have a wonderful one.
I myself have plans, I will most likely be visiting my mother, her Grace the Grand Duchess Tammie as well as I am currently conspiring with a friend to entertain the Queen this holiday season. I can't divulge too much, but I was wondering what you are planning to do for your holidays.
Anything exciting?

As I don't follow mainstream religions, it's Litha for me on the 22nd. I plan on having a 'new beginnings' type of ritual in the morning, sleeping most of the day, depending on if it's going to be 40C or 20C (the weather can't make its mind up in December) and then I'm going to have a few friends over, and we are going to get very hammered. At least, that is the plan. I need to actually send the invites (Thank the gods for Facebook ) And sort out a menu, and I'm sorted. Please, everyone, take some time this holiday season to tell the people around you that you love them. And take care in driving, keep alert on the roads. Lets keep the numbers down this year. Much love and a merry whatever, Mira

I am not familiar with Litha, do tell me about it. I could look it up online but that wont tell me what it is to you and how you celebrate it.

Litha is the summer solstice - longest day shortest night. that same day is known as Yule, the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere and visa versa.
Litha is traditionally a celebration of the light - to soak up as much of its precious warmth and energy to last through the winter. It's a time for new beginnings and finishing old projects.
I've just read that... I sound like a text book! *groans* Need a lecturer for Wicca 101? *laughs*
Litha, for me, is a time of letting go, as this time last year, I caught my partner in bed with our house mate. I wrote the spell to cut the ties and heal, and find myself a new path to wander on. And it all happened with minimal fuss.
It's a time to get back in touch with your base needs and wants, and a time to plan for the future. To look at the present and see where your path is taking you, and if you actually want to go there, and to change the path if thats what you need to do. Raise and send the energy with your hopes and desires out into the world, and watch it unfold.
This Litha, I'm taking my loved ones aside, focusing on family, blood related and Chosen. I'm looking forward to this next year, working through my problems, maybe getting into another relationship, getting a degree. I'll take it as it comes.
What do these holidays mean to you?

Ah, I know what you're talking about. I've only ever heard it called Midsummer. The Midsummer sabbat, festival etc.
We're in winter here in the northern hemisphere so we're coming up on Yule. My father is Jewish and is celebrating Hanukkah, though I do not, and my mother is Hallmark Christian and celebrates Christmas for the presents. We'll likely be at my Mother's Christmas eve and day, though as said I have some generic plans for Queen Rachel as well as after the holidays have mostly come to an end it will be your King and Queen's one year anniversary of marriage. I have secret schemes planed for then as well.

Ah. Well, you mention midsummer here and dirty looks and accusations of "hippy" come flying. Quite lovely really... thats lovely. May it be a beautiful one and may many more just as memorable ones follow it.

Alas, I don't really have any special plans for Christmas. I live with my parents and so the traditional gift-giving will occur Christmas morning. I've been going to midnight Mass the last couple years as it's a bit more solemn and quiet, both of which are to my liking. I would really like to go to Reconciliation before Christmas, as it's been a couple of years since my last. I usually work in the afternoon on Christmas as I get paid double my normal wage for doing so. All and all, it will be a quiet holiday. After all the gifts have been opened, that is. I'm curious about the secret plans you're making, Majesty. I'm sure Queen Rachel will enjoy them. Happy (early) anniversary!

Why thank you! We frequently held whole three day jubilees to celebrate each month we were dating so I don't see why our anniversary spirit can be a two week extravigansa! You're not early, you're right on time.

This year's merry Christmas has begun here on the east coast, so merry Christmas, everybody! Open those presents and eat until you're the shape of a beach ball!

Huzzah, Gelare! I'm missing dinner because of work. I'm feeling very bereft at the moment.

And may everyone have a safe and wonderful new year.
Please remember to drive carefully, and to watch out while you're travelling. Too many people drinkand drive around this time of the year, and I don't want to see more people getting added to the death toll list.

Today is the one year anniversary of the marriage between the King and Queen. Nestled nicely between Christmas and New Years. We're enjoying our day, and I want all to enjoy their New Year as well. We have some great Uantir ideas lined up for when everyone's recovered from their hangovers in a week or two.
