I don't know many of the bands/songs you listed, but it sounds like we have just about the same taste in music. Ronan Hardiman's Warriors is quite spectacular. I love Blackmore's Night, but I'm not very familiar with their music.
I mostly listen to Gaelic Storm and Loreena McKennitt. Lately, I'm slightly obsessed with Qkumba Zoo. It is my happy music. There's probably more, but I can't really think of it at the moment. I love musical soundtracks for the most part, and I love folk music.

I have mostly the same taste as Her Majesty, though I have a larger interest in senseless novelty songs as well. I can go through heavy metal, industrial and other generes that don't fit my common interest phases now and then though. Cruxshadows was, for a long time, my favourite band though it hardly fits my character.

I listen to a lot of movie soundtrack music, such as from 'The Lord of the Rings' and 'The Chronicles of Narnia.' I also like rock music, ranging from classic rock to hard rock. I'm not familiar with a lot of the more recent music because my car radio is tuned to a talk radio station. Much to the chagrin of anyone else who rides in my car. The funny thing about me is that I can listen to the same song, or the same few songs, for hours if I'm in the right mood. It drives my sister crazy.

Huzzah for talk shows! It drives the Queen mad the talk shows I listen to all the time.

As long as it isn't country or western, I'll put up with it. The above listed are merely my favourites out of 700 and something songs on ITunes.
And I can't believe I forgot to list my favourite - Klaus Badelt - He's A Pirate (also known as Jack's Theme, from Priates of the Caribbean: the Curse of the Black Pearl, which I can now play fluently on the piano)

I really like that whole soundtrack for 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl!' I received it for Christmas last year. Another good soundtrack is for the movie 'Pan's Labyrinth.'

The soundtrack for Alexander is pretty awesome too. Vangelis did most or all of the work for that.
At this current point in time, my sound card is broken, so my computer won't play anything, so I haven't got to listen to anything of late. I swear, its slowly killing me.
Classical type sound tracks are amazing. When I first listened to PotC:tCotBP music (third time watching the film) I was blown away.

Jim Croce and Tom Waits are two of my favorites.
