Lots of micronations can bost hundreds of citizens but only four ever do anything.
I suggest that there be impromptu Baronial, County and Principal events that take place hosted by the nobility to keep the new citizens involved.
Any suggestions, questions, conscerns, updates etc. on national activity go here.

Perhaps a coronation ceremony for our Exalted King and Queen is in order? It would be appropriate for each citizen to present a gift to the Crown. I understand physical gifts may be impractical, so perhaps instead photographs, poems, artwork, etc.?

We were thinking of a coronation for the King and the Prince/ess es. We're currently struggling with logistics though, our Kingdom's citizenry is scattered across the world. I was thinking of doing the coronation ceremony as soon as possible locally, with the local citizenry, and then post picture or maybe even a digital filming of it up here.

That's kind of what we had planned, although we have a problem in the fact that our Nation is completely non-theocratic so a coronation wouldn't be officiated by a member of the clergy, which makes the ceremony plans difficult. That leaves Ari either crowning himself (and me chuckling in the corner about the arrogance of it) or having the crown offered by a citizen, which I think is a good idea, or the ceremony being officiated by someone completely random. But yes, it's in the works. We would then go and ceremonially name all the local nobles. Because of the logistics of a coronation for the Monarchy, we were thinking about forgoing it all together and just naming our nobles. What do you think?

Well, I was thinking of something like a board event. We could celebrate for a month on the board and the coronation itself could be some sort of rp. Instead of each citizen coming up with a gift, perhaps each county, barony, and principality, etc, could offer up a gift presented by the nobility. Part of the month long celebration could include a contest aspect to select the most suitable gifts.
As far as actual ceremony, I'm not sure how that would work. It would be kind of cool if we had pictures of the nobility to display in a thread like they were portraits. Maybe that could be used for the naming of the nobility?

As much as I personally love the RP thing, I want to differentiate the RP feel from this country, for we are real and not a game. Once RP gets involved the feeling of seriousness and authenticity decline. Likewise our relationship as a legitimate country in the micro national community decline.
Though that doesn't mean a country wide celebration on the boards can't happen. As well as contests. Those are always good. Thank you for the ideas.

We were planning on a more of a physical, local event, but we could do a thing on the board as well. It could be cool.

I rather agree, I think a board event would be nice, so that those of us not in California can participate.

I didn't know whether to post this under activity or citizenry but I feel--in this case--the two go hand in hand. If we had more citizens in California then a physical coronation would be easier and I think it's unfortunate but it may have to be delayed until more join. However, I do like Nesslandria Haneh's idea to post poems, articles, gifts of some kind to our King and Queen.

I think the two could be incorporated into one since we were thinking of filming the coronation. Thus a 'pre-coronation' type event might be the submission of said gifts and art and literature etc. which could then be read or presented in the filming.

That sounds like an excellent idea, your Majesty! I'm not a fan of power point but I do have a friend who is beginning to work in animation if that's able to help, and if it's stop-motion, I can provide a short film to coincide with the coronation--with your approval of course and with some guidelines as to what it should be about.

Well considering the financial investment that will be required the coronation will be a little ways off. But, any donated skills will be readily utilised as soon as we do begin to move forward.

May I suggest that the Queen crown the King?

The coronation! Wow how things slip by, we never actually did that. It doesn't help that we still don't have a video camera or buckets of disposable income. Once I dig up the word document that I had all my coronation notes on I'll add that.
