I would like to open the floor to Impire Gordon III, of Aynvaul who has expressed interest in not just recognition and open conversation, but a concept he's labled a Cyber-Watch Pact. The basic idea being that members of the pact would keep an eye on each other's internet territories and domains, alerting each other of any errors in programing or potentail hacks, etc.
I think it's a novel concept, and have a few questions regarding the extent of obligation and involvement (especially when it comes to administrative or moderator power on each other's forums). But before I get too wrapped up in a litany of questions that may already be answered, I cede the floor to Impire Gordon and will allow him to fill us in on the finer details and intents.

Personally representing the interests of the Aynvauls in place of any Diplomats we have had in the past I, Gordon RC Gray III, the Impire of Aynvaul and its nation, first brings our primary intent of renewing our old Mutual-Recognition Pact agreed upon by our nation's representatives some time ago. With that said I also made mention of a Cyber-Watch Pact, which like a traditional obligating alliance would of course be agreed upon to a wide array of circumstances and fine print based upon what is to be expected from a nation in the pact based on its capability, however unlike an old alliance the mebers of the pact are only obligated to share with what they find. Although Aynvaul is in no way shape or form a Cyber based nation, we can't even maintain a website without immediate failure in its infrastructure, we will however introduce a concept of Pact to the Cyber Micronations and provide support of such a pact to our best capabilities. Aynvaul, unlike many other physical separatist micronations, is more than willing to recognize and promote friendly relations with Cyber Micronations. Although finding a hacker is rare, we do more often receive emails from individuals who often wish us to partake in malicious actions against other nations of which we refuse, signing this pact with Uantir and we will be obligated to share all the details to Uantir if Uantir was the target. And Uantir would be obligated to share info with the victim if they received such an email or uncovered such a plot if Uantir signed such a pact with the victim state. The initial concept is to promote trust and honesty between they pact members with the added benefits of knowing when an enemy would strike. I apologize for my lack of Diplomacy, but the final decision of such a pact is up to you.
Sincerely and with hope, His Humbleness, Gordon RC Gray III Impire I Aynvaul Aynvaul Imperial Government

So I am to understand that you have no web presence, be it a forum or a website. What, if any, benefits does Aynvaul seek to gain from such an arrangement? If you have no web presence to monitor, much less one to conspire to attack, what obligation does Uantir really have?

We have a web presence, but our web capabilities are behind as we are more dependent on our physical presence. We have a website, participation in some groups, and we do store some documents in the cyberspace. But our web capabilities, especially compared to cyber based micronations is minimal. We suggest this to establish trust between our nations, to pave the way for more friendly relations that is what Aynvaul seeks, but we also want to see if some of the diplomatic concepts we have come up with over the year work, to take the first step in the walk of life and friendship. But as I said previously we are not cyber based but physical based, but do have a small internet existence.
Sincerely, His humbleness, Gordon RC Gray III Impire I Aynvaul Aynvaul Imperial Government

Allright, that makes a bit more sense.
Now, as for this pact, first, would responsibilities extend anything beyond observation and reporting? Would individuals from either nation be expected to have moderator or administrative power over the internet territories of the other?
What would the penalties for breaking this pact entail?

So I found your wiki page, and I'm curious, have you made Caissic Ogham into an actual font yet? A few years ago I actually produced an "Uantiri Ogham" font which was altered somewhat to accomodate modern english characters and sentence structure. I'd be really interesting in comparing our two constructs for similarities.
Dia duit ag an mbealach. How much Irish do you speak? I keep making attempts at learning it over the years but make little progress seeing as I have no one to talk to with it.
Another interesting tid bit, I've been teaching myself to draw Celtic knotwork lately, as I've been trying to increase the traditional Irish motif of Uantiri visuals. On the desk in front of me, are sketches for different knotwork designs I want to incorporate into the forum and website, including a badge for foregin dignitaries like yourself. Coincidences eh?
Are you familiar with the SCA? What I'm getting at is, from your wiki I get the impression that you're laying claim to territory in New York, USA. Do you lay a valid, successionist claim to the regions highlighted? Or do you, like the SCA, use real geography as a reference tool for the simulation you're generating. I personally don't put much stock in those who lay actual claim to US soil. It won't effect any relationship between us, but I'm not going lie, I find it kinda foolish. Uantiri plays the micronational game, and we're okay with that. Micras is a great outlet for that, as we can make territory and such on there. I once toyed around with the idea of using a 'Uantiri regional overlay' to cover everywhere that active members of Uantir lived in the world. We never really got big enough for that.
You refer to the AIG as an Empire, and compare yourselfs to the High Kings of old. The High Kings were superior to multiple tribes, chiefs, and kingdoms. How do you justify that definition if you don't have any subordinate territories? I'd be extatic if I ever had vassal nations that wanted to be a part of Uantir, even as their own seperate entities, but since that situation has never arisen I've never thought it appropriate to call myself High King.

Since this would be the first time anyone(To our knowledge) would be doing this between two nations it would probably be in everyone's interests if the pact only asks of us to only inform the other of what we see in our daily checks that we do ourselves. That way the early pact is in no way an inconvenience for us. So we would only need to report what we find in actions of our convenience. Example, Say I were to be looking at one of your websites and I noticed some kid edited the site for malicious purposed, I would be obligated by the pact to inform you of what I found. Now say you got an email by someone who had a plan to hack our websites or stain our reputation for malicious or antic intentions, you would be obligated to inform us because of the pact. In time we can address changes to the pact.
We addressed our oghams in our last talks, back then it was Kaisii Ogham. I recall you warning me of other secessionists states then. As for our physical claims, we do not claim any land in Fadainysi but do regard the western cluster as our homeland. But as monlachs we do not hold any right to possession of Fadainysi but in future we hope to purchase some land within Fadainysi from the US itself. Such a taste we don't see as easy. As for Irish, I'm having the very same issues as you with maintaining the tongue. I myself have been doing similar with the Celtic knots.
The Impire is meant to be a cultural head and figure, with much power. Not an absolute monarchy by a monarchy with high crown authority. More a tribute to rather than an imitation of the High kings of old. The tribes each would have a chieftain or Ri. Each Ri had a spot in the consul or parliament which would each address important and minor issues and update their actions. Then there is the Aceship which voice the Impire, and advice in military and diplomacy. The Impire also attends the annual meetings and voices his input when he or she feels it necessary. When the system is in place that is. The creation of tribes is an action to the Impire when the situation is applicable. In accordance to population that is.
Sincerely and Respectfully, His Humbleness, Gordon RC Gray III Impire I Aynvaul Aynvaul Imperial Government

"In accordance to population that is." Boy, do I hear you there. If I got an email asking me to participate, help, or smokescreen a hack on anyone's forum/server (which has happened) I'd pass the info along. It seems like the right thing to do, you know? Now I'm never one to discourage the natural course of some good honest civics, so if you're interested in drafting up some language regarding the pact, I'd be happy to bounce that back and forth. Consider me signed, except I do enjoy the collaborative process of drafting a document to support the concept. If I recall in our talks regarding Kaisii, neither of us had finished it yet and we were both just brainstorming. I've actually got a font now, one you can download to your computer and type out with word documents and such. An older version of it is attached to this thread here on Micras regarding custom fonts/scripts. I'm pretty sure that's a really old version of the font. I've implemented some of the fixes discussed in the article, as well as created a 'Formal' and 'Handwritten' version of the font, the former having a consistent line across the page and the latter foregoing a line between words and only having each letter connect to the one next to it in a word. As you already know as a student of Ogham, there are left side hatches, right side hatches, full hatches, and diagonal hatches. The diagonals only angle one way. I assigned missing letters to hatches that go the other way and included the floating dash for p. I have not included any of the dipthongs. If you're interested I could open up a thread in the cultural sections dedicated to discussing the nuances of Uantiri vs. Kaisii. I think I can add attachments to this forum now, after the update, so that would be really exciting (and file sharing would be convenient.)

Sorry for the delay, I was mistaken that I clicked reply yesterday.
Yes it does, which is what the pact would promote and in-turn improve trust, or so in theory. As do I however it has been sometime since I did so, the last time I did so I just had to sign it in Kaisii, this was of course back when I had a Diplomatic Ministry haha. Expect it sometime next week or the following weekend. I recall finding it an interesting concept to reverse the m,g,ng,st,r branch, however I found it confusing to the reader as to the direction the engravings or script. In Modern Caissic, the orientation of the m,g,ng,st,r branch dictates the direction of how you read it.
Keep me updated to it if you do open it up. We do not have a font for Caissic, if you could inform me of the program you used to develop a font, please link me to said program.

We can renew the mutual recognition pact, of course. But we'll not be signing a treaty just yet.

I've never considered recognition pacts / agreements / resolutions (whatever) to require yearly ratification.
Not saying they shouldn't. But, if that's a dynamic you want, we should draft up a new Mutual Resolution that includes that provision.
